Privacy Policy

This policy explains how FirmAtlas handles personal data when you visit our website, create an account, purchase a subscription or use our company-information services.

Effective: 3 September 2026

1. Who we are

FIRMATLAS LTD is the controller of personal data described in this policy. We are a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 17434605, with a registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ.

For privacy questions or requests, email support@firmatlas.co.

2. Personal data we collect

  • Account and contact data: your name, email address, authentication identifiers and messages you send to support.
  • Subscription and transaction data: your selected plan, payment status, invoice and checkout identifiers, and limited billing details. Card details are collected and handled by our payment provider, not stored by FirmAtlas.
  • Service activity: searches, saved companies, reports, account settings and other actions you take in the service.
  • Technical and analytics data: IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, referring pages, campaign parameters, cookie identifiers and event data.
  • Public-register data: company, officer and filing information obtained from Companies House and other lawful public sources. Some public records may contain information about identifiable people.

3. How and why we use personal data

  • Provide accounts, company searches, reports, subscriptions and customer support.
  • Process payments, manage billing and prevent fraudulent or abusive use.
  • Operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve FirmAtlas.
  • Measure product usage and the effectiveness of our advertising.
  • Comply with legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations, and establish or defend legal claims.

Depending on the activity, we rely on performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where we specifically ask for it. You can withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing.

4. How we share personal data

We share personal data only as needed with:

  • Hosting, database, authentication, security and support providers.
  • Payment processors or merchant-of-record providers that operate checkout, billing and refunds.
  • Analytics and advertising providers, including Seline and Meta, to understand usage and measure campaigns.
  • AI and data-processing providers where needed to generate or improve reports.
  • Professional advisers, regulators, courts, law enforcement or a buyer of our business where disclosure is lawful and necessary.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. International transfers

Some providers may process personal data outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we use recognised safeguards such as adequacy regulations or approved contractual protections.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

FirmAtlas and its providers use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, preferences, analytics and advertising measurement. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, although disabling essential cookies may prevent account or checkout features from working correctly.

7. Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described above. Retention depends on the type of data, whether your account or subscription remains active, security needs, and legal or accounting requirements. We then delete or anonymise it where reasonably possible.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or erase personal data; restrict or object to processing; receive portable data; and withdraw consent. Email support@firmatlas.co to make a request. We may need to verify your identity first.

You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or to your local data-protection authority.

9. Public company and officer information

FirmAtlas republishes and analyses information from official public registers. If source information is inaccurate, you may need to ask the relevant register to correct it before the change can flow through to FirmAtlas. You can also contact us about information displayed by our service.

10. Security and children

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No online service can guarantee absolute security. FirmAtlas is a business-information service and is not directed to children under 18.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our service, providers or legal obligations change. We will post the updated version here and change the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use personal data, we will provide additional notice where required.
